VIDEO ENGINEERING: EXTREME SLOW MOTION

Today’s cameras and smartphones can shoot at 120, 240, even 480 frames per second — producing slow-motion footage of varying quality. We decided to go further, working with cameras purpose-built for slow motion that shoot at 1,000 frames per second.

The result is footage that feels almost unreal — revealing details invisible to the naked eye, and barely perceptible to standard cameras. A genuine differentiator for your brand communications.

The high frame rate does come with a significant technical constraint: fewer milliseconds per frame means far less light. The image would be very dark if conventional lighting were used.

We have therefore relearned how to light — mastering the demands of this highly specialised discipline: light output and flicker-free quality, dedicated cameras, robotic systems for movement repeatability. Every technical challenge, solved.
